Web & Mobile Developer
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 dependent on experience
Location: Doncaster
Role and Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable web developer who enjoys solving real business problems and owning work end-to-end in a modern, forward-thinking financial services business.
We develop and operate proprietary back-office and client-facing applications, with our CRM at the centre of the business. You will work across mobile and web development, CRM configuration, reporting, automation and application support.
You will be involved throughout delivery, from understanding requirements and designing solutions through to development, testing, deployment, documentation and support. You will work closely with users and use our established AI-assisted development framework to deliver practical improvements across the business.
Development
- Develop client-facing web applications using React, TypeScript and .NET Web APIs.
- Develop mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Configure and extend our proprietary CRM using T-SQL, C#, WebForms and BPM/workflow tools.
- Build services, APIs, automations and integrations across our systems.
- Help modernise legacy functionality into clean services and modern user interfaces.
- Develop reusable, maintainable components with appropriate security, logging and error handling.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Conduct thorough testing and participate in peer reviews.
- Support development across mobile and web technologies as business requirements evolve.
Azure and AI
- Develop and support applications using Microsoft Azure.
- Work with App Service, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, App Configuration and Application Insights.
- Apply secure authentication, managed identity and configuration practices.
- Contribute to AI-enabled applications and internal automation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools while testing and critically reviewing generated output.
- Help improve prompts, evaluations, workflows and supporting technical controls.
Data, Reporting and Automation
- Build and maintain management information reports and dashboards.
- Use SQL to investigate business questions, reconcile results and resolve data-quality issues.
- Write clear and performance-conscious T-SQL queries.
- Work with users to identify manual processes, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement improvements through reporting, CRM configuration, automation and software development.
- Contribute to wider data and reporting solutions as required.
Application Support
- Triage and resolve issues affecting the CRM, reporting and other in-house applications.
- Investigate problems using SQL, Application Insights and application logs.
- Own issues through diagnosis, resolution, testing and communication.
- Turn recurring incidents into preventative fixes, automation or documentation.
- Support users with system changes and adoption.
This is business-application support rather than a general IT helpdesk role.

- Work directly with stakeholders to establish clear problems, requirements and expected outcomes.
- Translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Raise risks and dependencies early and communicate progress clearly.
- Produce proportionate technical designs, release notes, data-flow diagrams and runbooks.
- Contribute to data governance, secure development and technical-control documentation.
Accountability and Working Relationships
- Part of a small, highly motivated development team.
- Works closely with the hands-on CTO and existing developers.
- Collaborates directly with operations, advice, compliance and administration.
- Accountable for delivering reliable solutions through to production and support.
- Contributes to both planned development and business-as-usual improvements.
