About Us
Consulix Ltd is a growing fire safety consultancy specialising in Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, Fire Strategy Plans and Health & Safety services across London and the surrounding areas.
As our client base continues to grow, we are looking for experienced and reliable Freelance Fire Risk Assessors to join our team.
Payment
This is a freelance, per-job role.
Current rates are:
£80 – Fire Risk Assessment (Site Visit + Report)
£40 – Report Writing Only (using our reporting app)
£40 – Site Visit & Data Collection Only (no report writing)
Payments are made weekly. Travel costs are on the freelancer assessor.
Availability
We are currently looking for assessors who are generally available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Please note that this is not a guaranteed-hours position.
Workload varies depending on client demand. Some days you may receive 2–3 assessments, while on other days there may be no appointments.
Additional work may also be offered on other weekdays where suitable and agreed by both parties.
The Role
Depending on the assignment, you may be asked to:
Carry out residential, HMO and commercial Fire Risk Assessments.
Complete reports using our digital reporting application.
Carry out site visits and collect data only.
Complete reports using information collected by another assessor.
Take clear photographs and gather all required site information.
Respond to occasional client queries relating to completed reports where required.
Maintain professional communication with clients.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who is:
Experienced in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
Familiar with PAS 79 methodology and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
Reliable, organised and professional.
Comfortable working independently.
Confident using smartphones and digital reporting systems.
Able to travel to appointments across London and surrounding areas.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous but not essential, provided you can travel reliably to appointments.
Relevant fire safety qualifications (FireQual, IFSM, IFE, NEBOSH Fire or equivalent) are desirable.

You'll simply keep your availability up to date, attend the allocated appointments and complete the assigned work.
