I am seeking a friendly, reliable and professional female Personal Assistant to provide holiday and sickness cover for my regular PA. You will support me to live an independent life. I am a 28 year female with both physical and mental health conditions, living with my partner and 9 year old son. You will assist me with domestic tasks, meal preparation, personal care when requested, accessing the community and admin tasks.
Location: Norwich, NR5
Job duties to include:
- Supporting with general household tasks
- Preparing healthy, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients
- Assisting with dressing when required
- Helping with shopping and accessing the local community
- Prompting and reminding with medication
- Supporting with paperwork and basic admin tasks
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Female applicant (due to personal care requirements)
- Strong attention to detail in domestic tasks
Knowledge of healthy eating and ability to cook from fresh ingredients
- Experience/knowledge with Mental Health (anxiety and depression).
Experience/knowledge with M.E/CFS and Fibromyalgia is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, including a good level of spoken and written English
- First Aid trained.
- No cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs in your household due to allergies or intolerances. All other animals are acceptable.
- Kind, friendly, and patient approach
Desirable
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASD, ADHD, ODD)
- Non-smoker.
Summary Terms and Conditions
- The rate of pay for this position is £14.05 per hour
- Hours and times of work as follows: 13.5 hours per week providing holiday and sickness cover.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
