The Ginger Cat Deli is a family run bakery. We are based in Cullompton, making delicious, rustic food. Everything we do is about big flavours and the best experience for our customers. Food to make people happy.
We are looking for an early hours baker to join the team, who is driven and happy to work on their own (after training). The role is 12am-8am, working on your own until 6/7am.
We would like to stress that you don't need to have food experience. The absolute essentials are a positive attitude and willingness to learn and work within a small team and a growing business.
The job role will be:
- Dealing with customer orders - via email, whatsapp etc - booking in and responding.
- Baking to order (pies, quiches, sausage rolls etc), using large ovens and blast chillers.
- Understanding food safety and temperature control.
- Boxing and labelling cooked and frozen products.
- Very physical and fast paced job.
- Handling products including raw meats and food allergens.
- Working in hot and cold environments.
- Understanding product variants and their respective allergens.
- Cleaning.
- Completing paperwork and using software.
Essential:
- Good attitude and willingness to listen and learn.
- Physically able to lift trays and boxes.
- Attention to detail - good with numbers and friendly written communication skills.
- Driven and proactive. Ability to work solo and with limited supervision.
- Highly organised and accurate with clean working patterns.
- Flexibility with hours.
