Overview
We are seeking an experienced Home Style Baker to join our team. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods and traybakes, ensuring high standards of quality and food safety. We are well known for our cakes and bakes and the ideal candidate would share our passion for baking, with a keen eye for presentation and detail. This position offers an opportunity to showcase your baking talents and contribute to our growing bakery business. We would ideally be looking for a candidate with experience in a similar role but would also consider someone with less experience who could demonstrate their passion for baking. The role would be a permanent position working 35hrs per week including alternate weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of baked products including pastries, cakes, and traybakes.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality
- Manage ingredient quantities and and stock levels when necessary
- Ensure all baked goods meet health and safety standards, including proper food handling and hygiene practices
- Decorate cakes and pastries as required, maintaining attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and customer expectations
- Innovate new recipes and presentation styles to enhance product offerings
