Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools
- Interpret project specifications and work from sketches or plans to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout each project, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to understand their decorating needs and preferences
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as needed
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and efficient project execution
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of different painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorating materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or project specifications accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Valid driving license with experience in operating company vehicles safely (Driving skills)
- Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites and proper handling of decorating tools and materials
- Prior experience working in diverse environments that require adaptability and attention to detail
