A leading global organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-driven HR Operations Analyst to join its growing team in Newcastle city centre. The Opportunity
This position sits within a collaborative HR function, focused on delivering efficient, scalable, and high-quality people operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of HR systems administration, employee lifecycle processes, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing directly to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as administrator for the HRIS (Workday), ensuring all HR processes and data are accurate, timely, and effectively managed
- Support the implementation and enhancement of HR processes within the system to drive efficiency, automation, and improved reporting
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers on system updates, configurations, and issue resolution
- Maintain robust data governance practices to support accurate reporting and workforce analytics
- Execute day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding
- Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives within HR Operations
- Document and maintain HR processes, workflows, and policies to ensure consistency and clarity
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and internal policies across all HR activities
- Produce and manage key HR documentation, including offer letters and contractual agreements
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing accurate guidance and escalating where appropriate
About You
- 1–3 years’ experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Analytics within a corporate environment
- Experience using HRIS platforms (ideally Workday) and applicant tracking systems (e.g. Greenhouse)
- Strong operational and administrative capability, with a focus on accuracy and consistency
- Good understanding of the employee lifecycle and core HR processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Experience in data management, governance, and reporting
- Understanding of data protection and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Visio is advantageous
