We are expanding and opening our very first cafe/bistro - H&H @ Koo – Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield
24 hours per week
Up to £13.50 per hour + tips (depending on experience)
Are you passionate about great coffee, exceptional customer service and leading by example?
H&H @ Koo is an exciting independent café with a vision to become one of Chesterfield’s favourite destinations. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Barista & Café Supervisor to help us deliver outstanding hospitality every single day.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be making exceptional coffee, supporting and motivating the team, and ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and a fantastic experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing high-quality coffees and drinks.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Leading shifts and supporting the wider team.
- Opening and closing the café.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
- Stock control and helping minimise waste.
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Training and coaching team members.
- Operating the EPOS system and cash handling.
- Helping drive sales while continually improving standards.
What we’re looking for
- Previous barista experience is essential.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is essential.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Positive, energetic and proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
- High standards and strong attention to detail.
Flexibility
This role will involve regular weekend working, and flexibility is essential. As the business grows, we will also be opening on Friday and Saturday evenings, so applicants should be happy to work these shifts as required.
