About the role...
As a Trenchless Spray Lining Technician, you will support the safe and effective delivery of spray-applied rehabilitation works on wastewater, drainage and infrastructure assets across the UK.
Working as part of a specialist spray lining crew, you'll support Spray Lining Engineers with the preparation, repair and lining of assets using specialist spray lining and coating systems. Using practical skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, you'll help deliver high-quality rehabilitation solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of spray lining and rehabilitation works in accordance with approved specifications, quality standards and safe systems of work
- Assisting Spray Lining Engineers with the preparation, repair and lining of wastewater, drainage and infrastructure assets
- Preparing work areas, substrates and assets through cleaning, jetting, mechanical preparation and other approved surface preparation methods
- Assisting with the application of primers, repair mortars, polyurethane, polyurea and other approved lining systems
- Supporting the setup, operation, cleaning and maintenance of specialist spray lining equipment and associated plant
- Handling, preparing and storing materials, consumables and equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements
- Assisting with quality inspections and reporting defects, non-conformances or concerns promptly
- Completing site records, equipment inspections and project documentation accurately
- Maintaining vehicles, tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and serviceable condition
- Working safely in compliance with health, safety, environmental and confined space requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement, excellent customer service and high standards of workmanship
About you...
We're looking for a motivated individual who enjoys practical work, thrives in a team environment and is keen to develop specialist skills within the water and infrastructure sector.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working within construction, utilities, water, drainage, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
- Previous experience undertaking practical site-based activities in a physical working environment
- CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Confined Space certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High Pressure Water Jetting certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience using hand tools, mechanical equipment or site-based plant
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements and safe working practices
- Ability to follow technical instructions, specifications, risk assessments and method statements
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A professional, positive and flexible approach
- A willingness to learn specialist spray lining techniques and develop through training
Desirable experience includes:
- Drainage, utilities, wastewater or civil engineering experience
- Surface preparation and high-pressure water jetting experience
- Rehabilitation, coating, repair or lining experience
