Job Overview
Goldstar are seeking 2 cleaning operatives to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises during evening hours.
Shift hours:
Monday to Thursday 4pm - 6.15pm and 4-6pm Friday
Monday to Thursday 6pm -9.30pm and Friday 6pm - 9pm.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or those looking to develop their skills in commercial cleaning. The position is ideal for organised, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces.
- utilise appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap where necessary.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times while representing the organisation.
Requirements
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision.
- Organised and reliable with good time-management skills.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring equipment and supplies.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
