Job Summary
Sawgrass Community Church is seeking a dependable and organised Church Operations Manager to oversee its daily administrative, facilities, financial, and operational activities. You will support church leaders, staff, volunteers, and ministry teams while ensuring services, events, and community programmes run smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the church’s daily administrative and operational activities.
- Manage office systems, schedules, records, correspondence, and internal communication.
- Support the planning of worship services, meetings, events, and community programmes.
- Oversee building maintenance, security, cleaning, equipment, and room bookings.
- Coordinate staff, contractors, ministry teams, and volunteers.
- Monitor operational budgets, invoices, purchasing, and expense records.
- Maintain accurate membership, attendance, safeguarding, and programme records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, and church policies.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and community partners.
- Support fundraising activities, donations administration, and financial reporting.
- Develop procedures that improve efficiency, communication, and service delivery.
- Respond professionally to enquiries from members, visitors, and the wider community.
Requirements
- Experience in operations, administration, facilities, charity, or community-service management.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate employees, volunteers, suppliers, and multiple activities.
- Experience managing budgets, records, schedules, and administrative systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion when handling confidential, financial, and personal information.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and data-protection responsibilities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, databases, calendars, and accounting or administrative software.
- Experience within a church, charity, faith-based organisation, or community setting is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS clearance may be required.

Pay: £3,300.00-£3,700.00 per month
