£13.52 - £14.05 per hour
Full-time, permanent
35 hours per week (Monday- Friday)
Moores House, Salford
You’ll support the Estate Manager to ensure a high standard of repairs and grounds maintenance across the estate, helping to provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Undertaking maintenance tasks, utilising your trade skills when required.

Being aware of and reporting any matters relating to the condition of the estate property, materials and tools/ equipment that may require attention.

Undertaking repairs, painting, decorating and moving and handling when required.

Ensuring communal gardens are maintained and well presented, pruning, grass cutting, clearing debris etc.

Assisting in the inventory and maintenance of equipment, ensuring stock is replenish in a timely manner.

Assisting in the cleaning of walls, ceilings, extractor hoods as well as the movement of furniture and equipment.

Assisting in the inventory of equipment and ensuring ongoing maintenance and safe storage of equipment.

Assisting the charity in implementing quality assurance initiatives to continually improve maintenance standards.
- Experience in a maintenance, caretaking, facilities or similar hands-on role
-
Practical DIY skills and a proactive, can-do attitude

Awareness of health & safety and safe working practices

Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with residents and colleagues
-
Sensitivity to the needs of elderly and vulnerable residents

Flexibility and willingness to cover holidays where required and attending the estate in an emergency and as part of out of hours On Call rota (additional remuneration is give).
A trade qualification is desirable but not essential — we welcome applications from a range of practical backgrounds.
This role is subject to appropriate DBS check.
