Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a driver for Weaver Haulage Ltd, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations across the UK including Ashbourne, Anwick and Grantham. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers. Day and nights shifts available.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload goods from the truck using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transportation
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery details
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and sitting for long periods of time
We are offering £205 Days / £225 Nights per weekday shift with an increased rate of £225 Saturday Day / £245 Saturday Nights and £245 Sunday Day / £265 Sunday Nights. 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays and a night out allowance of £26.20.
Rate increases will be given to any drivers willing to cover Live Bird Collections.
