Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in commercial and residential settings.
- Fit and connect gas lines safely, adhering to all relevant codes and regulations.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing and gas systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to plan project layouts, measure accurately using basic math skills, and execute tasks with precision.
- Lift heavy materials safely while following proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for each project.
Skills
- Proficiency in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
- Skilled in welding processes essential for pipe fitting and system repairs.
- Comfortable using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and measuring devices.
- Experienced with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and pipe cutters.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, fixtures, valves, and gas appliances.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and system specifications.
- Knowledge of carpentry skills useful for framing or structural adjustments related to plumbing installations.
- Capable of heavy lifting when handling pipes, fixtures, or equipment safely during project execution.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience driving large vehicles preferred for transporting materials or equipment.
- Familiarity with assembly processes for plumbing components or gas fittings to ensure secure connections.
