Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to our guests, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality standards are met
- Support catering events by setting up and clearing tables, and managing service areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and service stations
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the POS system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Uphold food safety regulations at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
- Support barista duties if required, including preparing coffee and other beverages
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary
- A proactive attitude with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Nice-to-have skills include barista experience or familiarity with specialised food services
