Summary
Fulwood & Cadley Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support to access learning and thrive within a nurturing and inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver targeted support both in and out of the classroom.
About the Role
You will:
- Provide individual and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including cognitive, communication, sensory and/or social-emotional needs
- Support pupils to access the curriculum through adapted teaching strategies and resources
- Help implement EHCP outcomes, individual education plans (IEPs) or support plans
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCo and external professionals
- Contribute to observations, record-keeping and assessment of progress

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Desirable Qualifications
- NQ2 level 2 or above
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age

Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
