Fancy a trade you can build a career on? Secure Alarms has been installing and maintaining fire and security systems across Dorset since 1979. We are NSI Gold and BAFE accredited, and we are looking to bring someone new into the industry and train them properly.
No experience in fire and security is needed. You will start out working alongside our qualified engineers, learning the systems hands on, and we will fund your training and qualifications as you go. Once you are ready, you will start taking on your own work with support from the team behind you.
What you will be doing
Working with an experienced engineer on installs, services and repairs of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and emergency lighting. Cable runs, containment and second fix work. Assisting with testing, fault finding and system handovers. Helping with paperwork and certification. Attending training courses and building your technical knowledge over time.
What we are looking for
- A genuine interest in learning a technical trade
- A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to get stuck in
- Reliable, punctual and presentable, since you will be in customers' homes and businesses
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to pass BS7858 screening
An electrical, alarm, IT or general trade background is useful but not required. Attitude matters more here than what is on your CV.
