The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading the performance reporting, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting processes for Northern Marine Group. This partners closely with Senior Leadership and the Corporate Controller team to provide financial insights that improve financial outcomes, support data-driven decision-making and drive business strategy. The Head of FP&A will oversee the development of financial models, analyse business trends, and ensure accuracy and clarity in all financial reporting.
This role will report to the Director, Financial Operations and will be supported by a team of Finance Business Partners.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, including variance analyses and Senior Leadership presentations.
- Analyse profitability, operational efficiency, and cost trends to identify risks and

- Coordinate the design and preparation of all budget reporting for the Senior Leadership Team, including Board members, business unit leaders, and cost centre owners.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with the group's strategic
- Develop and maintain a rolling monthly forecast process incorporating business updates and industry
- Partner with business units to understand drivers, validate assumptions, and build cohesive financial
Modelling & Data Management
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support planning, pricing, business cases, and investment
- Improve reporting tools, dashboards, and processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and

Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as the primary Finance contact to business leaders and business unit owners, offering insights and guidance on financial performance.

Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor Finance Business Partners, supporting their professional growth and technical

- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, CA, or ACCA)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related
- Extensive progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related
- Prior leadership or team management
- Strong financial modelling, analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel and financial planning
- Demonstrated experience managing budgeting and forecasting
- Previous experience working with business analytics and reporting packages, g. Power BI, Business Objects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial concepts to Senior
