Day Service & Farm Assistant
Thornage Hall Independent Living provides supported living accommodation in five houses located in the beautiful surroundings of the Thornage Hall estate. Alongside this we offer a day service provision based on a 70 acre biodynamic farm, welcoming adults with mild-moderate learning disabilities and autism.
Over the last 30 years, we have built on the success of our farm and market garden and converted farm buildings into studios for our day service workshops offering a whole variety of arts and crafts, IT, cooking, music and woodwork activities. We are proud to deliver workshops which each greatly enrich the lives of our service users, allowing them to develop new skills within a working environment.
We are looking for a versatile Male Day Service & Farm Assistant to join our passionate and supportive staff team. On this occasion, we would welcome applications from men only due to a genuine occupational requirement to specifically assist a male service user 1:1. We have a Part-time and Full time role available and Job Share will be considered.
If you:
- Are you passionate about helping people;
- Can work somewhere where no two days are the same;
- Would like to join a committed and high-functioning staff team;
- Want to help adults with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and aspirations;
- Are flexible enough to work across our workshops alongside colleagues supporting our service users;
- Could support some of our service users on a 1:1 basis within their workshops;
- Would like to benefit from staff discounts, free parking, ongoing training, wellbeing support and our pension scheme;
- Would like to earn between £24,798 and £25,565 pro rata
Then we would love to hear from you!
Closing date for applications is 12 noon 21st August.
