Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to lead our organisation’s health and safety initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programmes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a safe working environment. Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with legal standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid protocols, ensuring staff are trained accordingly.
- Oversee compliance with statutory regulations and maintain up-to-date documentation for audits and inspections.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to management and staff at all levels.
- Organise training programmes on safety procedures, report writing, first aid, and other relevant topics to enhance organisational safety awareness.
- Promote a positive safety culture by engaging employees through communication campaigns, safety meetings, and behavioural observations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives through data analysis and continuous improvement strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health, safety, or environmental management within an industrial or corporate setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH National or International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of local health & safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed documentation.
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis techniques for incident investigations.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to undertake further training if necessary.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with diverse teams at all organisational levels.

Pay: £28,966.18-£59,863.82 per year
