Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Room Leader for our preschool to inspire and guide a vibrant team of early childhood educators. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily classroom operations, foster a nurturing environment for young children, and ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating an engaging, safe, and educational space where children can thrive and develop essential skills for their future. Duties
- Lead and manage the preschool classroom, ensuring a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children
- Supervise and support early childhood educators, fostering teamwork and professional growth
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with early childhood education standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, safety protocols, and licensing requirements
- Organize daily routines, activities, and learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development progress, and incident reports
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff members to uphold quality standards
- Be puntual and physically fit for set up and pack away at the end of the day
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership skills in early childhood or preschool settings
- Extensive experience working with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Ability to foster positive relationships with children and create an inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Valid childcare or nursery qualification recognized in your region
- Valid DBS and PFA course is ideal
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining high standards of care
