Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. We are a live events company and looking for a Class 1 driver to do a mixture of event work and general haulage work. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. The position involves delivering goods ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 lorries safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety standards are met.
- Deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Secure loads properly, especially when transporting specialised cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring the security of cargo during transit.
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial and event driving.
- EU driving experience is desired
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record, ideally holding a valid HGV Class 1 licence.
- Knowledge of current driving regulations and best practices for commercial vehicles.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various weather conditions. This role is ideal for motivated drivers seeking a professional environment where safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction are paramount.
Pay: £40,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
