About the Role
Our client is a well-established structural steel fabrication company, delivering high-quality work across a range of commercial and industrial projects. They are currently seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder/Fabricator with experience in structural steel to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of structural steel components to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting fabrication/engineering drawings
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling steel using appropriate tools and machinery
- Maintaining quality and safety standards in line with company procedures
- Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication
- Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Skilled in the use of fabrication equipment (grinders, saws, drills, etc.)
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship
- Relevant welding qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
- CSCS card or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
