Support Workers – Supported Living Services

Full-time / Part-time / Bank Contracts available
Day shifts/ Waking nights/ Sleep-ins
Salary: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour day & night shifts, £50 sleep-ins

Care Assurance provides care and support to vulnerable people, working across London Boroughs and surrounding areas. Care Assurance provide services within individuals own homes and group living settings for individual with learning disabilities, mental health concerns and young individuals that are care leavers.
Our purpose is to provide the individuals we work with the tools and resources they need to live secure, valued lives which allow them to be as independent as possible.
Essential Requirements:
Successful Support Worker applicant will need to have:
- Proof of right to work in the UK. Please be advised we do NOT offer sponsorship.
- Flexibility to allow for shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Experience of supporting people with a variety of needs including personal care, money management, accessing the community and household chores
- Experience of and confidence when working with individuals that can at times display behaviours that challenge
- Experience working with individual with Learning Disabilities including Autism
- Good communication skills: verbal, non-verbal, and written
- Good IT Skills
Desirable but not essential:
- PBS training or related qualification
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Hold a Valid UK Drivers Licence
The Role:
The individuals supported by Care Assurance require Support Workers to join the teams within the Enfield and Potters Bar services. This is a great chance to help manage different parts of their lives in a Supported Living setting.
You'll be helping out with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and getting out into the community. Some individuals will also need help with their medication and personal care, including toileting.
The individuals supported by Care Assurance want you to provide safe, person-centred support to boost their independence and help them live their lives the way they want to.
Every day is different, so you'll need to be flexible, patient, caring, and kind.

The individuals supported by Care Assurance are looking for people who are professional and proactive in all that they do, with a friendly, encouraging and supportive approach.
Relevant knowledge and skills relating to individuals with a learning disability, mental health conditions, behaviours that challenge and enablement would assist you in this role, but if you are the right person for the job you will be supported to gain the experience you need.
