OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As an Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide leadership and management to the existing Area Management team and provide a “best in class” service to our current and future client portfolio. Operating extensively across the hospitality/hotel sector, creating an environment that engages your team across the region and supports them to evolve with you and the business.
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Managing, coaching, and leading an Area Manager team
- Oversee and participate in the recruitment and selection of staff and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring KPI’s are achieved with deployment of staff and client delivery.
- The Operations Manager is fully accountable for the financial performance of their region, hitting KPI’s and financial targets is a key part of the role.
- Auditing areas, licences and supporting staff development.
- Liaising and meeting with clients and key contacts on a regular basis to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Performing 1-2-1 staff development sessions with your team of Area Managers.
- Implementing procedures and requests from the company.
- Strengthening client relationships through timely provision of information, staffing updates and recommendations.
- Where non-conformances or problems are identified, ensuring corrective action is taken and recorded.
- Ensuring customer complaints are recorded and the procedure for dealing with complaints is followed.
- Ensuring that the company’s high standards for uniform and compliance are implemented and maintained.
- Winning new business and venues via networking and client visits.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Previous experience of managing an Area Manager team.
- SIA licence & knowledge of SIA licensing requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Time management
- Good database and system skills.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience in Customer Service and associated training.
- Experience in H&S and associated training.
- Experience in Office Management and associated training.
