We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy Team as an assistant, carrying out the Information, Advice and Assistance role - screening incoming referrals, supporting individuals to self‑solve where appropriate, reduce risk, and achieve outcomes that matter to them. The Occupational Therapists work within an integrated health/social care team to support individuals gain the advice, information and intervention they need to maintain their independence and skills. Working proactively with individuals and their families to promote their choices and wishes to achieve positive outcomes. The duty IAA role is situated within a team of supportive IAA staff.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated enthusiastic individual with some experience of working with adults with disabilities. They should have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and develop assessment and risk management skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is a key factor. A knowledge of equipment and adaptations will be beneficial.
