Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership skills to ensure the supply chain is cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the company’s objectives
Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy : Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business goals, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Procurement Management: Oversee procurement processes, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure the availability of quality materials at competitive prices.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand while minimizing costs and avoiding shortages.
- Logistics Coordination: Optimise logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and address any issues to maintain supply chain reliability.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with UK regulations and company policies, and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data-driven insights to monitor supply chain performance and present regular reports to senior management.
- Liasing with different managers within the company such as the Warehouse Manager, Transport Manager and Stock Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in Supply Chain
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement practices.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve business objectives.
- Solid understanding of UK regulations and industry standards related to supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluency in Punjabi or Urdu is a bonus
