Removal & Property Clearance Porter
Pay: starting at £14.00 per hour potential to rise to £17 per hour

Job Description
We are looking to recruit additional removal / house clearance porters. The right candidate/s will join our company to help deliver the highest standards of work that we provide for our clients across the northeast and beyond.
Choosing a career with us is a physically demanding role. You will regularly carry bulky/heavy items of furniture from client properties with care. To have what it takes, you must be physically fit, approachable, hardworking and adaptable. We offer full training, so no experience is required.
Our working hours vary from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday. Later finishes or weekend working is occasionally required.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with customers in a professional, positive manner whilst performing various tasks throughout the day.
- Loading, driving and off-loading large vans (3.5 tonne) to/from various locations.
- Protecting furniture items from damage during removal and transport.
- Lifting and carrying heavy / bulky items on a day-to-day basis.
- Team working and lone working as required
- Maintaining vehicles to a high degree (clean / tidy and daily checks)
- General labouring tasks as required
- Waste handling and cleaning as required
Key Skills Required
- You should have a positive, professional attitude with great communication skills and customer focus.
- The role involves daily heavy lifting, loading and unloading removal vans, and navigating stairs with large, awkward, and often heavy items.
- You must hold a full, clean, UK driving licence. You will be driving large vans (3.5 tonne) regularly.
- You should be willing to undertake a basic DBS check (CRB check) or can provide one.
- Able to work within a team and alone as required. Can follow instructions with attention to detail.
- You should be flexible, with good problem-solving abilities
