Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Site Agent to provide operational management for allocated contracts with Allied Infrastructure taking a lead role in the on-site delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance. This role manages sections of work within a wider project team, provides engineering expertise to the project, and ensures change control, programme and quality are managed efficiently throughout delivery.
Duties
- Lead the on-site delivery of allocated sections of work from mobilisation through to handover.
- Ensure delivery of the works on time and on budget to client and Allied requirements.
- Identify and organise the appropriate resource to deliver works — labour, plant, materials and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with all site, client and Allied HSE rules and requirements.
- Review or draft method statements where required and monitor compliance on site.
- Promote a positive safety culture by example, leading briefings and reinforcing safe behaviours.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed for the area of responsibility, including clocking of plant and equipment on the company plant/labour recording system.
- Report any variations in the work requested by the client to the commercial team.
- Monitor labour and subcontractor activity, ensuring records support commercial valuation and change.
Skills
- Significant site delivery experience on civil engineering, groundworks or specialist contracting projects.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously without compromising standards.
- Strong management skills, with the ability to motivate employees and drive performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts both orally and in written form.
- Negotiation and diplomacy skills, with the ability to influence senior colleagues and the supply chain.
- Ability to use judgement and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
