AH166: Live-out Italian speaking Nanny Position - Vauxhall

Hours: 8am - 6pm, Mon-Fri + some babysitting and occasional weekend work

About the Family
We are delighted to be working with a warm Italian/Swedish family based in Vauxhall. The household includes a 3.5-year-old daughter who attends a Montessori nursery in term time (half days Monday-Friday, with full days on Mondays), a 7-month-old baby, and a lively mini Dachshund. Mum is currently on maternity leave but returning to work later on in the year. The family is seeking an experienced, capable nanny to provide nurturing care and support with daily routines.
The Role
This is a wonderful opportunity for a proactive and caring nanny to join a busy household. You will be responsible for:
- Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups for the 3.5-year-old
- Caring for both children with warmth and confidence
- Planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities, including outdoor play, trips to the playground, farms, playgroups, and accompanying the eldest to activities such as swimming and ballet
- Preparing nutritious meals for the children and encouraging good table manners and independence
- Engaging the children in creative activities such as painting, drawing, and reading
- Light child-related household tasks (children’s laundry, keeping bedrooms tidy, wardrobe management etc)
- Booking and coordinating activities, classes, and playdates for the children
- Walking the family dog (if willing)
- Building connections with other nannies and families in the local area
The Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for someone who is:
- Warm, competent, and caring with babies and toddlers
- Experienced and confident in managing a busy household
- Collaborative and communicative
- Reliable, punctual, and independent (able to use your initiative and see what needs to be done)
- Willingness to help the family in general e.g. a quick hoover when the nursery or kitchen get dusty, folding laundry etc.
- Enthusiastic about outdoor activities and finding engaging playgroups and outings
- Passionate about cooking and encouraging healthy eating
- Interested in fostering good manners, independence, and developmental milestones
- Patient and comfortable around dogs
- An Italian speaker
- Looking for a long-term position

- Minimum requirements: up to date enhanced DBS, references and Right to Work in the UK
- No specific preference on years of experience, though experience with babies and toddlers is essential
