Team Leader – SEN & Neurodiverse Support Setting

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting your team to deliver personalised, nurturing care for children and neurodiverse adults
- Creating a calm, positive environment where individuals can learn, grow and express themselves
- Coaching and mentoring staff so they feel confident meeting a wide range of needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships with families, carers and external professionals
- Staying flexible and upbeat when routines shift or unexpected challenges arise
- Completing the monthly roster to ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the service
- Representing the company at key meetings, including TAF (Team Around the Family), CIN (Child in Need), and other multi‑agency discussions
- Representing the company at exhibitions, events and community showcases, promoting our values and the work we do
- Helping with recruitment and supporting staff development
- Keeping communication open between managers, families, carers and the team
What We’re Looking For
- A natural communicator who connects easily with children, adults, families and colleagues
- Someone who makes thoughtful, confident decisions — even in busy or emotionally charged moments
- Strong time‑management and organisational skills
- A positive, encouraging attitude that helps the whole team stay grounded and motivated
- Empathy, patience and a deep understanding of SEN and neurodiverse needs
- Integrity and honesty — you lead by example
- Creativity in problem‑solving, adapting activities and supporting different communication styles
- The ability to delegate effectively so everyone can play to their strengths
- Must be 25 years or older
- Must hold a full, clean manual driving licence
