Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Live Event Equipment - Service/ Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and preparation of equipment utilised in live events. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition, and coordinating with event teams to deliver seamless technical support. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and leadership skills to contribute to the success of high-profile events.
Duties
- Supervise daily workshop activities related to live event equipment servicing and repair
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on audio, lighting, and staging equipment
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair equipment components
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools, ensuring all necessary items are available for repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate with event production teams to schedule equipment servicing and ensure timely readiness for upcoming events
- Train and supervise workshop staff, promoting safety standards and efficient working practices
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment status reports
- Oversee the organisation of workshop space to optimise workflow and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical maintenance or workshop management within the live events or entertainment industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Leadership qualities with experience supervising a team of technicians or workshop staff
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills for liaising with production teams and suppliers
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential

Pay: £35,581.00-£40,918.00 per year
