Responsibilities
- Lead daily activities and educational programs tailored to the developmental needs of young children
- Supervise and support junior staff and volunteers, promoting teamwork and professional growth
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and active engagement
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies to maintain a secure environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that stimulate curiosity and creativity
- Monitor children's progress, documenting milestones and providing feedback to parents and team members
- Manage classroom resources efficiently, ensuring a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings
- Extensive experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments
- Deep understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities that promote learning through play
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid DBS and PFA ideal
