About the opportunity
We run a group of online brands spanning private investigation, coaching, WordPress speed optimization, and AI-powered websites and business services, and we are looking for a self-employed assistant to help with SEO, website content, and social media across them.
We already use Claude (Anthropic's AI) for some of the drafting and editing in our workflow, so you should be comfortable working inside an AI-assisted process, not just writing everything from a blank page. That said, a sharp human eye for detail matters just as much: experience editing and polishing blog content, particularly where AI has been used in drafting it, is preferred and important.
The work
- Draft and edit blog posts, service pages, and web copy across our brands, working from briefs and keyword research
- Write and schedule social media posts across our channels, keeping tone consistent with each brand
- Handle on-page SEO tasks: meta titles and descriptions, internal linking, keyword placement, content refreshes
- Use Claude and our existing prompt library to speed up research, drafting, and editing, while still applying your own judgment and voice to the finished work
- Work across multiple brands, spanning private investigation, coaching, WordPress speed optimization, and AI-powered websites and business services, so tone and subject matter will vary week to week
- Flag content or SEO opportunities you notice, not just execute what is briefed
- Part-time to start, with scope to grow to full-time as the workload grows and based on performance
Pay
£15 to £20 per hour, depending on experience, self-employed. You invoice us monthly for hours worked. Expected hours are 10 to 20 per week to start, with the potential to grow to full-time as the position and the business grow, and as performance is proven.
What we are looking for
- Strong written English and a good ear for tone, with the ability to adapt voice across different brands rather than writing everything the same way
- A sharp eye for detail and genuine editing experience, particularly editing and polishing blog posts where AI has been used in the drafting. This matters as much as your own writing ability
- Practical, hands-on experience with Claude (Anthropic's AI) as part of a real content or research workflow, not just occasional chat use
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO fundamentals: keywords, meta data, internal linking, content structure
- Familiar with WordPress, and ideally Elementor, so you can publish and update content directly rather than just handing over copy
- Comfortable scheduling and posting social media content across common platforms
- Organized and self-directed: able to take a brief and deliver without heavy supervision
- Self-employed or ready to operate as self-employed (you invoice us, and you are free to work with other clients)
How to apply
Apply with your CV and two short samples: one piece of blog or web content and one social media post or short series, either published work or samples you are happy to share. If Claude or another AI assistant played a part in producing that work, say so and briefly explain how you used it.
We keep the process straightforward. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short call, followed by an in-person meeting in Halifax before any agreement is signed.
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
