Huboo is on the lookout for a proactive Quality Control Operative to help us maintain the highest standards in our busy fulfilment operation. You’ll play a key role in checking, monitoring, and reporting on product quality and order accuracy, ensuring every customer receives their order in perfect condition and on time.
We’re a tech-driven eCommerce fulfilment company, helping online sellers scale by offering global fulfilment services. Backed by VC funding, we’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in our sector, and this is your chance to be part of our exciting growth journey.
Your Responsibilities
As Quality Control Operative, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining standards, with key responsibilities including:
- Carry out parcel and order checks at the point of pack and dispatch in line with the agreed sampling rate and SOPs.
- Inspect inbound stock at goods-in for damage, mislabelling, and discrepancies against expected batch, best-before, or expiry data.
- Identify, quarantine, and log non-conforming stock, mispicks, and packaging defects using the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) system.
- Verify picking and packing accuracy against order data, escalating recurring errors to the Quality Manager or Team Leader.
- Support root cause investigations for client-reported incidents (mispicks, missing items, damaged or incorrect deliveries).
- Apply MLOR (Manufacturer's Life of Remaining Shelf-Life) and shelf-life dispatch rules correctly, flagging any WMS data gaps.
- Maintain accurate, timely records in quality logs, registers, and digital tracking systems.
- Support the rollout of quality campaigns and SOP changes on the warehouse floor, including toolbox talks and visual aids.
- Report foreign body, glass breakage, or critical incidents immediately in line with the critical management and time-frames procedure.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse operatives, team leaders, and client account teams to resolve quality issues quickly.
- Analysis of data to identify trends which support improvement initiatives.
- Coaching of frontline operative to ensure improvement opportunities are communicated, understood and embedded
