The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Night Shift Warehouse Operative to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods within our temperature-controlled warehouse. This includes unloading deliveries, checking stock, picking and packing orders, and preparing goods for distribution.
This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Handling Goods
- Unload deliveries from trucks and vans (manually or using equipment)
- Check incoming stock against documentation and inspect for damage or discrepancies
- Sort and store items in designated temperature zones (ambient, chilled, and frozen)
Order Fulfillment
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately
- Label and load goods onto vehicles for dispatch
Warehouse Operations
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with health & safety standards
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding tasks and issues
- Support other warehouse duties as required
What We’re Looking For:✔ Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
✔ Comfortable working in ambient, chilled, and frozen environments
✔ Physically fit – capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
✔ Team player with good communication skills
✔ Basic computer literacy
✔ Forklift licence (an advantage, but not essential – training may be provided)
✔ A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
