We are looking for a 3 year plus PQE Litigation solicitor who has a broad spectrum of experience that leans heavily towards litigation.
F Barnes are based in Romford, Gidea Park and Collier Row. We have a strong loyal client base having been established in the Havering area for over 70 years. Our legal advisors are all specialists in their respective fields and act for a wide range of commercial and private sector clients.

The Candidate
- 3 years PQE solicitor with general civil litigation experience
- Advocacy experience preferable
- Fairly local and able to commute to Romford daily ( please do not apply if outside of 30 mile radius)
- LEAP case management preferable but not necessary
- Excellent IT skills to include, Office 365, Excel, Word, and TEAMS
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience in assisting with matters on behalf of commercial and individual clients on a wide range of litigation matters to include landlord and tenant, breach of contract claims, debt recovery, insolvency, negligence and commercial litigation, to include drafting of legal documents
- Co-ordinate with counsel and clients
- Preparing of court documents for trial and hearings
- Enthusiasm to engage in networking and business development;
- Clear demonstrable ability and keenness to build and maintain client and referrer relationships;
- Ambition to progress and mentor juniors
- Professional but friendly and approachable
- Passion to provide excellent customer care.
About the Role
You will be working alongside our Senior Litigation Solicitor, Makayla Phillips and our Head of Department, Tiina Juhanson assisting with a varied caseload of general civil litigation to include, breach of contract, inheritance disputes, nuisance and professional negligence matters. You will be supervising juniors with, landlord and tenant, building disputes, eviction and debt recovery matters.
We use LEAP case management system, so previous experience with this is of benefit.
The day will be a varied day largely providing advice to clients and supervising the junior paralegal with landlord and tenant and debt recovery caseloads.
You will have the opportunity to expand and grow with the benefit of working with experienced members of our team.
The practice would be happy to work on other areas of litigation that the candidate has a particular specialism in and would support you in the growth of that area of work.
You should have a passion to provide the most excellent in client care.
Salary: Competitive according to experience
Bonus Scheme: You will be placed on individual company bonus scheme
Progression Path: There is a clear path to progress to senior solicitor and to lead to grow a team to support.
Job Type: Full-time ( would consider someone who needs to work 4 days per week)
