Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various holiday cottages. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept in pristine condition, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. We own 6 holiday cottages and we are especially looking for someone to cover Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's. The bookings are not fixed so hours can change. Ours guests check out at 10am and check in at 5pm, so hours are generally from 10am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washbasins, and other sanitary fittings to high standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly in designated areas.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment such as polishers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines.
Skills
- Previous experience in cleaning work is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties over extended periods.
