Michael Page is recruiting a Supply Chain Assistant to support day-to-day logistics, order processing and supplier coordination for a well-established, fast-growing food manufacturing organisation based in Slough.
The rewards
£28,000–£35,000 per annum depending on experience, with a real opportunity to grow in the role. Permanent position within the food manufacturing sector.
Hours
Standard office hours. Permanent position based in Slough.
The role of a Supply Chain Assistant

Supporting order processing and ensuring accuracy of supply chain data throughout

Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to manage delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory control activities on a daily basis

Maintaining accurate records within ERP or supply chain systems

Assisting with forecasting and demand planning activities to support the wider team

Supporting logistics coordination to ensure on-time deliveries to major retailers and foodservice customers
The ideal Supply Chain Assistant candidate

Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics or administrative role is advantageous

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Confident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels

Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
