Following substantial investment at our Gist site in Barnsley and an exciting phase of growth, we are looking for a Night Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Barnsley. In this role, you will take full responsibility for leading a fast-paced warehouse operation, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of all shift activity while maintaining high service levels.

Role details:
Salary: Up to £42,409 (DOE) + £6,004 Night Shift Premium
Hours: 38 hours per week
Working pattern: Wednesday - Saturday | 10 hour shifts (20.00-06.00)
Location: Gist Limited, Barnsley, S71 3LJ
What you’ll do:
- Leading and developing a large warehouse team
- Managing dispatch/outload operations to meet strict deadlines
- Driving productivity, accuracy, and cost performance
- Planning labour and resources in line with volumes
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and compliance
- Managing performance, attendance, and engagement
Who you are:
- Experience in a warehouse leadership role within FMCG or distribution
- Proven ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience managing teams within a unionised environment, with an understanding of employee relations and engagement.
- Strong operational knowledge of warehouse/dispatch processes
- Track record of delivering KPIs and improving performance
- Confident leader with strong decision-making skills
