Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces by washing, sanitising, and storing items appropriately.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with general duties such as restocking supplies and organising storage areas.
- Ensure the kitchen complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to maintain a tidy working environment.
- Assist in setting up dining areas when required, including serving food and beverages to guests in a courteous manner.
- Support the team during busy periods by performing additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and guests.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
