Custom Group Ltd are celebrating our 52nd year of trading; supplying blinds, curtains, AV and Drama equipment largely to educational premises, new construction buildings and public sector establishments across the UK.
We are currently seeking a mechanical installation engineer to work as part of a 2- man team in our Technical Projects Division. The successful applicant will be required to professionally install our products in schools, universities, clubs, performance venues and other commercial properties across the UK. Our products typically comprise: -
· Stage/divider curtains and tracking
· Stage lighting bars and lighting
· Projectors, screens, speakers and other AV such products
· Standard curtain tracks, curtains and blinds
Although previous experience in the stage lighting/AV industry is preferable, we welcome applications from candidates who have a general mechanical/engineering background with hands on experience of mechanical fixing(s) to masonry and steel structure fixings (ie girder/steel clamps, threaded rod).
We can offer:-
· Excellent rate of pay with regular overtime at 1.5 x normal rate of pay. Anticipated Pay: £29,000.00 -£45,000.00 per year (including overtime).
· 28 days holiday per annum, rising to 34 days with length of service
· £600 pa bonus for full attendance
· Company van, mobile phone, tools and equipment provided
· Full expenses for working away provided
· Excellent potential for development into other roles, i.e. Technical Sales Representative
We require applicants to have:-
· A full driving licence
· Site experience of mechanical fixings ie drill & plug, anchor bolt fixings and similar
· Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime
· Ability to work at height
· Good problem solving and communication skills
· A Level 2 electrical installation qualification would be useful, but not essential
Working hours are based around 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with any additional hours at overtime rate. No weekend work.
