Help Children Heal. Shape Therapeutic Practice. Make a Real Difference.
Compass Community is looking for a passionate and experienced Therapeutic Practitioner to support children with learning disabilities within our Residential Children's Homes and help transform the lives of children and young people affected by trauma.
Working as part of our specialist Therapeutic Services team, you'll coach and develop staff, embed trauma-informed practice, facilitate reflective groups, and help create nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Our evidence-based Assessing and Healing Complex Trauma (AHCT) approach is at the heart of everything we do, and you'll play a key role in bringing it to life across our homes.
What You'll Bring
- At least 2 years experience working with children in care
- Experience working with children with learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of trauma, attachment and child development
- Therapeutic training or qualifications (or currently working towards)
- Confidence in supporting and developing others
- A positive, resilient and empathetic approach
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services
