Job brief (Natural Stone and Timber) Portsmouth
We are looking for a competitive Sales Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire. The Sales assistant duties include selling, understanding stock levels as well as an occasional use of the Forklift truck and assisting the yard team pack orders. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Understand stock and availability.
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
- Welcome and greet customers.
- Manage point-of-sale processes.
- Keep up to date with product information.
- Accurately describe product features, benefits, and specifications.
- Follow all companies’ policies and procedures.
- Occasionally assist the yard team.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in English.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service focus.
- Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality.
- Basic administration skills.
- Self-starter and punctual.
Own transport will be essential
Hours:
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday 8am to 12pm (3 out of 5 Saturday worked)
Interviews will be held at our portsmouth office
