Rug Doctor is one of the UK's leading rental equipment brands, with thousands of machines located in major retailers nationwide.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and self-motivated Field Support Representative to join us on a 3–6 month fixed-term contract, supporting our busy seasonal rental operation across Greater Manchester and the M62/M56 corridor.
This flexible, field-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, travelling between locations and carrying out practical maintenance tasks. Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in ensuring our machines are always available and ready for customers.
Areas Covered
You'll primarily cover stores across:
- Manchester
- Warrington
- Bolton
- Wigan
- Rochdale
- Oldham
- Stockport
- Trafford
- Salford
- Bury
- Cheshire
- M62 Corridor
- M56 Corridor
A company van is provided, with routes planned to minimise travel wherever possible.
What You'll Be Doing
- Visit a scheduled number of retail stores each day.
- Inspect Rug Doctor rental machines to ensure they are clean, presentable and ready for hire.
- Carry out basic machine repairs and troubleshooting.
- Complete PAT testing where required.
- Replace or swap machines when necessary.
- Report machine issues, damages and store updates using our mobile reporting system.
- Deliver cleaning products where required.
- Maintain accurate records of visits and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with the Operations Team.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Comfortable driving a company van.
- Practical or mechanical ability.
- Good organisational skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet.
- Reliable, flexible and customer focused.
