The Opportunity
We're looking for an Automotive Trim Technician to join our operations in Thirsk.
This is a hands-on role where precision and quality are everything. You'll be responsible for assembling and fitting premium interior components, ensuring every vehicle is finished to the exceptional standards that define the Twisted brand.
Whether you're currently working in automotive trim, luxury vehicle manufacturing, upholstery, joinery or a similar precision assembly environment, we're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in producing outstanding work.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and install high-quality interior trim components.
Fit leather-trimmed dashboards, door cards, centre consoles, seats and other interior components.
Carry out detailed assembly, adjustment and finishing work.
Work from technical drawings, build specifications and production instructions.
Ensure all components are fitted accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Identify and resolve fitment issues during the build process.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across production to ensure vehicles are completed on schedule.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Key Skills and Competencies:
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with excellent practical skills, a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
You'll ideally have:
Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship will be offered
Previous experience assembling or fitting automotive interior components.
Experience working within a trim shop or similar manufacturing environment.
Experience working with leather or premium interior materials.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
The ability to read technical drawings or assembly instructions.
A positive, proactive attitude and strong team-working skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
Automotive trim or interior assembly.
Leather trimming or upholstery.
Carpentry, cabinet making or joinery.
Coachbuilding or bespoke vehicle manufacturing.
Premium automotive, motorsport or restoration environments.
