Summary
We are seeking a Wakened Night Worker to join our compassionate team in supporting children and young people at our community-based facility in Scotland. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of those in our care during night hours, aligning with our mission to foster growth and resilience. This post works 7 nights on from 10pm to 9am and 7 nights off.
Responsibilities
- Provide overnight supervision and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Implement and update individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or needs that arise during the night.
- Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and incidents.
- Foster a calm, nurturing environment conducive to rest and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals regarding each child's progress and concerns.
- Support the emotional and developmental needs of children through attentive care.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a care or educational setting.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service.

Pay: £27,299.00-£30,317.00 per year
