About the role
Ready to take the next step in your social care career?
Bring your experience to Southlands and play an important role in supporting older people to live fulfilling, independent lives. As a Senior Social Care Worker, you'll work alongside a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring residents' individual needs are met with dignity, respect and compassion. You'll support all aspects of daily living, including personal care, medication administration, care planning, accompanying residents to appointments, and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities, while building positive relationships with residents, their families and other professionals.
Alongside your hands-on care responsibilities, you'll provide guidance and support to colleagues, helping to maintain high standards of care across the service. You'll mentor and supervise team members, assist with inductions for new starters, contribute to audits and quality improvement activities, and work closely with managers to ensure the smooth running of the home. Southlands consists of four 12-bed units, each supported by a close-knit team of Senior Social Care Workers, Social Care Workers, Housekeepers and Laundry Assistants, creating a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
If you're ready to use your experience to make a meaningful difference while developing your leadership skills, we'd love to hear from you.
