Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and professional Front of House Staff and/or Supervisor to join our new hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest services, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Previous restaurant, cafe, bar or hospitality experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to optimise seating arrangements.
- Ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Provide outstanding guest service by attending to customer needs promptly and courteously.
- Assist with food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving, and upselling menu items to maximise sales.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Manage cash handling, billing, and processing payments accurately using POS systems.
- Train and mentor junior staff members to uphold service standards and teamwork.
- Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution.
- Ensure the front of house area remains clean, organised, and inviting at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments; previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and team collaboration.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus but not essential; a genuine passion for hospitality is required.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends may be beneficial but not mandatory. Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
