H& P Freightways LTD are looking for a Maintenance & Repair Operative to join their team in Rainham.
We are seeking someone who is available to work a rotating shift pattern of one week of day shifts and then one week of night shifts.
Your duties will encompass the three areas of the yard; heating/steam cleaning, maintenance/repair and lifting and storage.
Duties Include:
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs on machinery, containers, trailers and equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Operating a heavy lifter to organise containers in storage and onto vehicles.
- Complete yard checks to maintain order and complete comprehensive lists of containers.
- Heating and steam cleaning containers containing different substances and following the safety data sheets provided by customers
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
Forklift licence and Empty Handler licence would be advantageous however training will be provided if necessary.
Working at Height, Manual Handling and Confined Spaces qualification would be advantageous however training will be given.
Computer literacy is essential.
